ObGyn Appropriate Management of Postpartum Psychosis?

Which one of the following is considered the optimal management strategy for postpartum psychosis?

a. Inpatient management of both mother and infant in the same psychiatric unit
b. Inpatient psychiatric management of the mother, and placement of the infant in foster care
c. out pt rx, mother and child separated
d. out pt rx, mother and child in same room

whats the point in admitting the baby to a psych unit if the mom's not well?
