Tako-tsubo is called the broken Heart Syndrome....it usually occurs when people that are old get distressing news....Its caused by emotional stress, death of a loved....Its an acute heart failure because of increased cateocholamines. Its a sudden but temporary weakening of the myocardium which causes the bulging out of the apex of the LV... So i guess u can classify it as a stress induced cardiomyopathy not a ishemic.
