Question Can any one predict my range of score in step 2 CK real exam?

Hi,

Its been a long time since I posted here. Been busy with my step 2 preparation. I completed my UW with a cummulative of 69.5% and took UWSA today. Got a score of 255/690. But I am not too excited about it coz many are saying that there can be 30 marks difference at times in the real exam.

Can any one predict, what would be my range of score in the real exam.

My exam in 10 days.

Hey i would recommend that you take nbmes. Also u can take the fred version test on their website. They correlate more to the actual test. If u get same type of scores , that means you will do very well..Good luck , your scores are awesome and if i had those i would be very optomistic..

@cool atomic

I got 37 questions wrong in UWSA to get that score.

I will take an NBME(probably 4) after some days.I am currently revising Uworld again.

i konow UWSA sucks in prediction,,but what would be a safe cut off,,is -30 good enough?

hey,
you did risk doing the uwsa knowing that the predictor sucks, but who told you so. Most people have an error in the range of +/- 10 points and maybe one person actually had a 30 point margin. It all depends on the exam day stress and other factors. If thats the case, it should be the same with the nbme's too.
anyways, good luck to the both of us!

I think that there are some facts about the predicted score in NBME and UWSA. I reviewed the report that I got after my UWSA and compared to NBME's reports; both of them have a graph where my performance in each subject was assessed in bars. I realized that when you have wide bars, it means that you are not constant with your performance in a specific topic, that would explain why you can get a high performance in NBME 2 in ObGyn and a poorer performance in the same subject in NBME 4. I found that I had more constant results when my bar was narrow.
Therefore, if you see in your report a lot of wide bars it is possible that the score predicted that you are seeing at that moment is not reliable. But, if you have a lot of narrow bars, that predictive score will be more accurate.

This is just an idea.

My UWSA was 243, the real thing 246...........so its pretty good. Use with NBME and take the average of both predictions----thats the best way to predict!
