Question How many questions should be answered to get 99?

I want to know that, as there are about 350 mcqs in ck2..... so how much we need to hit in order to get 99 ?

you know what ? I've been trying to find an answer to that question for so long & the bottom line is " Nobody really knows ", but if somebody does , I'd really love to know !!!

i'd say anywhere above 80% because pass is 60-70% and there are these experimental questions, etc... so its just my assumption.

there's no clear cutt-off....lot of my friends scored around 240 n got 99
but you never know someone can get 99 at 230...

dude, the least 3 digit score getting a 99 as i have seen on this forum is 227. I don't remember the id, but you can search here. he got 227/99

The number of questions you get right is different from pool to another.
You may answer only 200 in a "difficult" pool of questions and get 99
You may answer 250 in an "easy" pool of questions and still get the same three digit and 99

Also the three digit score does not mean the number of questions you answered right.

A friend of mine got 220 n made it to 99... But I think that's on very rare occasion..

yes, every question has different weightage, that's y even doing the NBME offline is not very much predictive of the real scores. The scoring system is not at all transparent. But we still agree to this fact and write the usmle's!!!

1 question bank is about 2300 questions. Along with that, all the questions we solve here in the forums, various qbooks, self assessments, etc.. all add up to about 4000 questions for a single step.

Those who do more than 1 question bank may as well reach 7000.
