Default 223/96 ck

My husband got his CK results today, 223/96 (He took it a few days before the format switch)
Not bad, cause he only had a month to study and was working 12-14hr days, so he couldnt get through FA.

His main tool of study was UW, he made sure he went through it, no notes but read through everything well, both right and wrong.
He wasnt able to finish UW, probably had about 200+ questions left.

NBME a week prior and got a 209.
UW assessment a day before= 216
Step I (8 mths prior)= 201/81

He has 2 years clinical experience post med school(grad about 8 years ago). Tried to go over his weak areas, which was OB/Gyn (Preg) the last few days before.

Since he was running short of time and knowing that CK is mostly IM, he did tutor mode blocks of IM.
He did all his UW in tutor mode, so he could make sure he was seeing the explanations as he went along.
His background is surgery so that was easy for him and he did only a block of UW surgery questions the night before!

Talking about UW or NBME questions with me helped, since both of us are in the process, though I havent reached CK, if he saw an interesting question, he'd bring it up and we would "discuss" it for a few mins.

So it can be done! Best wishes to all.

oops his step I 2 digit was 83

most of his sections crossed borderline and up
Psych and OB were closer to low end.
If he did better on Psych, he probably might have gotten closer to a 230! Again probably would have helped him in that if he read kaplan or 100 ethics cases, so try not to slack on that. He only used UW for Psych.
