Default trying to figure out what went wrong

started my USMLE jounrey in 2013 june ending that year with my step 1 obtaining a score of 224. did an elective thereafter in 2014 followed by step 2 CS which i cleared on my first attempt. Got back to complete my internship and started on my step 2 ck preps late june.

kicked off with kaplan notes for medicine with videos that helped formulate a good basis. went on with MTB 2 and 3 for the other subjects respectively. began uworld for about 2 months writing down all explanations to make sure i got them all in my head. averaged about 70%. decided to give mtb and my notes a revision before resubscribing to uworld for a second time. did it timed and random and averaged a 84% finishing it in about 20 days.
nbme 4- 231
continued another round of revision of mtb and my notes
nbme 6 - 224
free questions - 84%
revised twice again.
a week before my actual exam did u world assessment - 245
squeezed in step 2 secrets in about 4 days during the last week ( wasn't the best idea )

final step 2 ck - 208! i failed!

after everything i did across about 5 months that was my final outcome. its both disappointing and disheartening. i knew with my step 1 score i had to step up on my subsequent scores. A part of me is crushed. im thinking of giving it another go with a second attempt. Any advice? im not looking for sympathy but some hard facts about my chances in getting a residency in pediatrics if i obtain a better step 2 ck score but with a second attempt labelled next to it..

wishing everyone a happy new year and truck loads of luck cracking these exams.

hey henryking i'll get back to you on that..
faith255! i wish things were easier at this point. beginning re-revision again today. doesnt look too good from this stand point. wonder how much of a redflag a second attempt would appear for an img. for all its worth im gonna give it another try.
