Skin First drug to choose for Acne!

MTB says first topical antibacterials, then topical vit A derivatives, and so on.
UW says topical vit A derivatives (and the Q had topical antibiotic as an answer, too, said it was wrong)

I still would go for the first option, but I'm a little confused here.

Did USMLE World say why antibacterials is wrong!

I think it depends on the severity of the acne, in very severe case you might start right away with Vitamin A Derivatives.

Smile

Now, the first step in management is topical Vit A (mild and moderate acne / oral Vit A for severe cases)
