Unhappy Scoring 47 in USMLE World only!

First of all I'd like to thank everybody in this forum,You guys have been a lot of help to me .

I've finished my first read of kaplan & F.A. along with offline UW as a studying material in a very long time then I asked for advice & some people said to do a 2nd read before online UW & some said start UW right away , so I tried reading Kaplan & FA again but honestly couldn't do it , Couldn't concentrate , my eyes kept skipping lines & felt bored & wasting my time , so I started UW. So far I'm done with 15 Blocks , timed , random , unused & my scores were as low as 47 & as high as 79 with average correct of 63%
I've started yesterday doing 3 blocks\day with taking extensive notes hoping that I'll be done with the 1st round of UW in the next 2 weeks, then doing it again with a 2nd read hopefully & studying the notes, then I'm planning to take UWSA & NMBE to know where exactly I stand.
So my question is " How bad are my scores for now ??!! " & The question of all times " What do I do to get better ??!! " , by the way , I realized while I was doing the Blocks that even if I read kaplan & FA again before UW, I'd have made the same mistakes, cause let's face it , The questions are freaking hard.
please advice guys , I'm extremely frustrated & by the way my exam is on November 15th.
Thank you all & good luck.

Have you tried to focus on your weak subjects? I know a lot of people say, do NBME and see where you stand. I'm not happy with my UW score either; I have my test in 3 weeks...yikes! I do know my weak subjects and I'm trying to re-read MTB (along with FA for the first time). Although I think that doing UW is a HUGE help, personally, I study better "by subjects" (reviewing my weak areas) and then do the random tests and review them. Only reviewing a Q-bank is a lot of information at once, skipping from one subject to another (good for a review but not really to study IMO).

what I was wondering about is , did the people who got high score in the real exam go through the same thing , cause I'm really shooting for 250+ & keeps wondering if the people who got 250+ had bad scores then got better or my 15 blocks average score is an indicator of what it's gonna be !!
what's your UW score , if I may ask ??

I don't know the answer to that, I haven't taken the test yet... I was wondering myself about it.
I'm scoring anything between 55% (lowest) and 89% (highest) with an average aroudn 72%. I'm aiming for a really high score as I'm an old IMG ("very" old... lol) and I'll need it. The thing that I'm worried about is that my score is stuck there..., I have done 28 blocks of 44 questions and I don't get better..., I'm stuck there!

First of all everything is just a rough estimate. When u have studied enough and ready for UW you should be at the point where knowledge isnt a factor anymore...The only thing uworld tests you on the application of the knowledge...Like fischer would say....Application and the order of things are indispensible in CK....given that towards the end i was getting roughly 80% on youworld....so its mainly how you interpret the questions and rearrange whats most important in the order of events.....Re read your notes....and prioritize the order of things but given that you know enough medicine to diagnose first because without that its useless to know the order of things...>GOODluck

yes i totally agree with kais MD.....and while reading make sure you are getting concept right. first of all know weak subject, and q are getting wrong due to lack of knowledge or application or lack of concept etc..then proceed from that direction.

sometime if we know the theory but not spontaneous enough to diagnose the condition within given time pressure then its not lack of knowledge or lack of concept or lack of application its just because you need quick revision to be spontaneous enough to diagnose and rule out options. it work out for me so may help you too.
happy studying

I can understand your feeling, but, give more time & repeat. Repetition is real solution.

I think the best thing to do is doing random, timed, unused questions so you learn time management .

Dear Younis
I believe if you can bring your U world up to 70% and up, you will do good in the exam. although there´s nothing guarantee but this will help you to be more confident about your knowledge.

Best of luck!
