Date of exam: 29/12/14
Date of result: 21/1/15
Score: 232

I studied for a total of 4 months. I used MTB 2 for IM, Kaplan lecture notes for surgery, gynae/obs, and peds, and FA for Step 1 for psychiatry and behavioral science.

UWorld (random, timed): 64%
UWSA 1 (4 weeks before exam): 234
NBME 7 (2 weeks before exam): 233

My biggest mistake was not doing UWorld thoroughly enough. I convinced myself that "NBME 7 tends to under-predict, you'll be fine". I am a fool who chose to rationalize rather than acknowledge that I need to study more. UWorld is your Bible - know it inside-out. Give a few practice tests, and don't give the exam until you're scoring in, or higher than, your desired range. Good luck.
