Same here. I thought MTB would be great but it's missing a lot of stuff. I read KLN and added stuff into the MTB book, on my second review of MTB now and adding notes from FA along with UW.
But I agree that itīs not a book that you can only rely on like FA for step 1. But also FA for step 2 is not enough, so I would combine things. Thatīs just my opinion.

I think FA for step 1 was awesome, for step 2..., don't like it so much, also missing some stuff. It's not a book that you can use as a single review resource IMO.

I'm using the 2010 version just because I got it for free. I think the subjects / individual diseases are really long, which in a way is good, but it's long for a review book. And then, it's missing some diseases / points. It has less mnemonics than FA step 1, more explanations, less short points, graphics or tables if you know what I mean. I find those really useful, especially those that explain differences between similar diseases.

I do not think there is a complete one book for step 2, but still master the boards, is good enough, although has significant deficiency.

Yes. It depends on individuals's knowledge.

It is compact, conscise with useful tips. I found it helpful for revision-high yield facts. Should be perfect if paired with Q banks!

Default mtb2 missing important topics !

guys,
please be careful while reading mtb2..as many people over here said, it's missing many important topics. just now i noticed, in endocrinology..there's no SIADH at all, which is certainly an important topic.

hey i had similar opinion abt mtb-ck on my 1st read.. but once i started doing uw i realised it had all the information required to arrive at an answer..especially the best initial test or the most accurate test.. over the past 2 months i hav enriched my mtb-ck by annotating from UW to make it a complete and reliable resource. KLN becomes too lengthy.
taking notes from UW is a great way to learn plus u ll make revision easier for yrself if u have everything at one place!

i hope u find it helpful!

Help

guys i totally agree
in some chapter mtb ck is good and in another chapters is very bad ,
for say like GIT AND NEUROLOGY ..but good in nephro

i was thinking about doing MTB 3 WITH MTB 2CK WITH FIRST AID ??
Of course plus UW .. my exam is in less than 3 months
i don't wanna open kaplan ..i get lost there and don't remember anything out of it .. what do you think guys , is that safe or i will be distracting myself with all these books ? and do you think i have enough time
