It depends on your prior background.

Have you done Step 1 or not!
Have you been reading other books or not!
How long since you graduated!
Are you practicing or not!

I think the best way is to read from it a little bit and then go do some questions and if you see that you are doing fine, then it might be enough for you.

Absolutely right!
I couldn't agree more.

I would suggest MTB-2 plus MTB-3 and doing usmle world twice and then take uwsa and NBME forms.
good luck!

Post Is MTB enough?

No... just like FA...
these are only good if you're done with a thorough review...
for those who said it's not enough and they don't like it, it's because they did not do a comprehensive review.
if you are doing well in your studies, it might be enough...
if it has been a while since you graduated, then NO will be the definite answer
If you took kaplan review... then YES... it is a good tool to refresh and enhance your memory..as it definitely goes well with their review materials and videos... but please do not quote me... I read it after reading their materials and doing the videos. It served as a thorough final review for me. it's like listening to conrad fischer all over again, but this time it's all in your memory bank... it's fun to picture him talking to you through the book.
