Question Soccer Head Injury; when to return to the game?

You are the sideline doctor at the high school soccer game. A 17-year-old girl suffers a head injury during the game. She collided with another player while attempting to "head" the ball and fell to the ground. The coach wants to know if he can get his star player back into the game. There was no loss of consciousness but she was somewhat confused and disoriented for 10 minutes after the injury. Her neurologic examination is completely normal. When can she return to play?

A) after 6 months of being symptom free
B) after a week of no physical activity
C) only if her examination is normal in 45 minutes
D) after 20 minutes and being asymptomatic
E) immediately

This is really hard.
B/c no loss of consciousness, so most likely not serious. I go for D.

somewhat confused and disoriented...., I don't like that part even if there was no LOC..., from the option offered, I'd go for one week. (B)

Answer is D.
Guidelines for return to play are based on severity of head injury. The athlete here has a minor head injury (grade I) based on the Colorado Medical Society Guidelines.
She may return to play after 20 minutes as long as she is asymptomatic and has a normal neurologic evaluation.
More severe or repeated minor injuries call for longer duration of exclusion from participation.

Couldn't find more information about that scoring system except wikipedia which was not that helpful. So if somebody knows more, plz add.
