Default U World CK for the 2nd Time and its Score...Reliable?

Hello Everyone,

I am doing UWORLD STEP 2 CK, for the second time after completing it once.

My average score has gone up after my first go through...how does this increase in the Score correlate with ACTUAL performance, and how much is it an After-effect of remembering the questions/corrections done previously.

Is this a good way to gauge my level of performance or is it just a false way to interpret my current level of answering the Q's?

I remember the concepts before I answer...which is one benefit.
Other than that, how much does my new average correlate with my potential performance?

Thank You

I was just about to ask the same question , but let me ask you a different one then, how are you doing the 2nd time of UW ? Because as far as I know you can't reset the tests & start over , so do you just create a test with all subjects selected ? & are there repeated questions or not ? thank you.

I just purchased a 1 month Subscription of UWORLD and then finished the First Round in 25-30 days. I saw that to reset the bank You need to have purchased the 6 month plan, so i just purchased the one month plan and let it expire after i finished. Then I purchased a "NEW" subscription.

I would suggest you purchase a NEW subscription if you want a blank slate and updated statistics on your performance.

My question still stands though...whats the Significance of the new results?

I have no idea but if I were to guess, I'd say it will overestimate your score cause lets face it , you are doing the same exact questions all over again so you might know the answer just by the look of the question or what have you. so I'd suggest you do NBME or UWSA or whatever just to get new questions & see how you do.
good luck
