Star help with step 1 revision. kindly help !

i'm an img and i've been preparing for step 1 on and off for the past 6 months. i have completed my first read of kaplan along with videos. I have only 3-4 months left to take my exam. i dont remember much from my first read. A friend of mine has advised me to shift to FA and UW combo and just go with it cold over and over again. my aim is of 240+. can you please suggest me if i should go ahead with it or go for second read of kaplan since it has been such a long time that i hardly remember anything as of now. please help me ! your advice would be gold to me !! thank you

3-4 months is a long time! You can accomplish a lot but I would have to agree with your friend. Do FA+ as many questions as you can (not just UW). if you're shooting for a 240+, I'd say at least 2 qbanks.

Everyone is different. I personally started doing the Kaplan qbank before I had done any hardcore studying. It helped a little, but I don't think I was very serious about studying at the time...I was just doing it casually. I then purchased the Rx qbank which I did while I read the corresponding FA sections and it really really helped me reinforce and memorize the material in FA. It's not very usmle-like in style (at least when I did it last yr), but it was very helpful. I then moved on to Uworld which took a while to finish (about 2 mo).
With 3-4 months left, you can do more than just uworld.
