Default My Step 2 CK Study Plan, Please Advice

Hello everybody,

I'm beginning my step 2 ck preparation in a month (end of April) and I'm preparing the materials I will use.

I'm planing to use these materials and I need your opinions whether they are along with hardworking are sufficient for a score of 245+:

I will do these books & videos cover-to-cover in 2-3 months:

1. MTB 2.
2. MTB 3.
3. FA Q&A book or Kaplan online Qbank (one month sub.) (your recommendation please which to use).
4. Kaplan vidoes only IM & Gyne/obs.
5. First self-assessment with an NBME online form.

Then 2 months of,
6. First round UW all questions with notes.
7. Second round UW only incorrect questions.
8. Final self-assessment with a second NBME online form.

If anybody has just taken the test recently and finds the above materials sufficient for a high score please do comment and I'll appreciate any advice of further materials or hints for more effective studying.

Thanks a lot.

MTBS and UW are enough in my opinion. I bought Kaplan qbank for a month and did not find it a good source, cause it had tons of weird stuff and was not informative. Did only 30%, and then left it alone. Also bought FA for CK and did not use it either- again, there is no need to use it. And finally, I have an untouched copy of Secrets for CK.
Otherwise, your plan sounds pretty good. Good luck with your prep.

Yeah, I agree. MTB and UW are enough. Except I'd advise you to spend more time on UW and less on MTB. UW is the safest bet for step 2CK.

Uworld is the key, drink it like u would drink water when u r thirsty.Go thru charts and explanations in it and make ur notes for final read just before the exam.Make concepts because exam is all about concepts. read a topic and try to differentiate between DDX e.g. how to differentiate between placental abruption or placent previa vs uterine rupture.

I feel UW is most imp, but mtb are as important. For me, Kaplan peds and obgyn gave me confidence. Not sure about kaplan qbook or q bank.
