Planning CK Prep in 4 weeks only!

So I am an IMG in 4th year Caribbean - I only have a 4 weeks allotted to take step 2 ck (beyond the scope of this conversation)

What can I realistically do and know well enough of?

I wanted to do 2 question banks, but I don't see that is feasible. I have no other course work for this time period.

I looked at a friend's copy of MTB 2CK as it seems popular amongst the foreign grads - but doesn't seem that I will be able to have all that material "stick" in this much time and feel that it will neglect time for the questions.

I was hoping to maximize my learning by just doing usmleworld only, in un-timed tutor mode - I have a copy of secrets but again it's more reading...dense. I wasn't planning on testing myself with any nbme's (I know crazy)! - just going to do the uwsa and uwqbank - I see there is a Kaplan new edition qbook out too.

Anyways - this is the only amount of time with no exceptions unfortunately. Fill me in - thank you!

Is this plan final? I mean is there no other date for your test, you must take it in 4 weeks?

If so, then I dont think you have a choice but to cram what you can, if not, then definitely change your dates..

MTB 2 is not like MTB 3, and take my word on this, there's no single review book for step 2 CK.., you must have a solid base from either your studies or from comprehensive books, then you can go for a review book plus a Qbank.

The same is for Qbanks, they are not enough without a VERY solid base of knowledge.

Yes, thanks for the reply - that is the final date. I've been keeping up with all my clerkships (from a clinical/practical point of view) and managed to get by. That said, the real world experiences aren't necessarily reflective on standardized tests.

Can you elaborate on the knowledge base aspect if possible? Are you talking about a step 1 knowledge base or pathophysiology knowledge base? Even skimming through secrets - and as you mentioned with the review books, that is all they are - not so much depth.

So right now with this much time, I should be just looking at doing as many questions - but apart from Uworld (1/4 way through now), I was contemplating on another question bank perhaps to literally do in tutor/untimed mode. I have a 4 week time off until my next elective.

I was using the question bank mainly to not test but pick up on the right/wrong explanations... anyways, thanks again for the input. I would love to check out the kaplan ck or dit material perhaps before residency time but I doubt that will be feasible with time taken out from doing actual questions.

My husband had less time to study for CK, cause he had to do it while working full time. He spent most of his time on UW in tutor mode. He did have 2 yrs clinical experience, wasnt able to finish all of FA. For him, UW was key and he got a 223/95. His NBME a week prior was a 209
