Arrow MMR vaccine and birth defects

a 16 yr old girl comes to the adolescent health clinic for a routine examination. she has no complaints at this time. physical examination is unremarkable. her record indicate that she has an incomplete MMR vaccination history. in addition to appropriate counselling she is given one dose of MMR vaccine. one month later she learns that she is 9 weeks pregnant and returns to the clinic concerned about the birth defects from the MMR vaccine. which of the following most closely approximates the risk of birth defects secondary to MMR vaccine exposure during the first trimester?

a. <1%
b. 3%
c. 5%
d. 8%
e. 10%

Default yes answer is A

MMR has very little effect on pregnancy but then the general rule is that after giving the vaccine, advice the patient to not get pregnant for at least 3 months. of course in this questions, perhaps the dr should've done a pregnancy test first. thats just my opinion.
