Question Female Athlete LH and FSH!

what is the reason behind the cause of decreased LH and FSH in elite female athlete? plus any other endocrine disturbance seen with these group of people? thanks

but decreased sex hormones would cause increased LH and FSH rite... so how would you explained deceased LH and FSH

I just saw an answer to this in one usmleworld explanation... Severe life stressor , eating disorder and excessive exercise is a common cause of acquired hypothalamic dysfunction leading to hypogonadotropic hypgonadism. (eventhough they did not tell us why)
