RBC Thalassemia Minor versus Thalassemia Trait

what is Thalassemia trait?
Thalassemia minor causes mild anemia and microcytosis, but how it can cause this symptoms if the person just carries the gene?

Hmm... Well actually it depends on how many deleted genes you've got..
There are 4 alPha genes in normal individuals. and symptoms are based on the number of those genes beong deleted.
if you have one gene or 4 genes deleted you normally dont see those patients in practice cuz the first patient wont have any symptoms which is alled TRAIT and the second patient is dead. two genes deleted will give you thalasemia minor and 3 genes deleted will give moderetly severe hemolytic anemia.
i hope this clarify the point .
