Question why step2ck is getting harder?

Hey guys

I heard from many of you that the real CK exam is harder then uworld , well I am the last guy from my class to take CK because I spent 1 yr taking a break away from medicine however from 40 students , 1 guy found the real exam harder then uworld ( even though from what i understood that he solved world well but he wasn't fast enough) others said world was tougher ( talking about ppl who took it in the 18 months that passed)

I kindly need to know from ppl who are posting here that the real exam is tougher from which sense :
- lack of details in the questions?
- Asking about unknown or rare facts?
- or is it related to length of exam?

Thank you

I think that my exam was tougher because
1. Individual questions were lengthy....reading a question took quite a time
2. Vague...incomplete supporting evidence...u ended up confused btw 2 options...despite knowing both of them thoroughly e.g sudden onset dyspnea in a post op pt with ABGs showing res alkalosis....now this could be atelactasis as well as P.E...(just an example to explain what i mean.....is not in any way related to any original question)
or in some other sceanrios, evidence suggesting 1 dx was present, but it was not strong enough....e.g uworld will give 3-4 hints in favour of p.e but actual exam may give u only 1 or 2....
3. plus definitely there were questions which i simply couldnot dx...they were the most frustating ones...!! n they were quite a lot in no
4. It also happened a few times that dx was easy, n i actually smiled while reading the stem, but they wont ask dx in the end....they would ask sumthing about management...or any mechanism...!!
5. Another reason y every1 is saying about exams being tough is that the we dont remember easy questions,...!! we just do them n forget them, whereas difficult ones continue to haunt us...

but despite all that, i would say that there are many experimental questions in the exam...so dont worry too much about the exam itself...!!At the moment, just study as much as u can, dont expect that it would be easy...n dont let the element of surprise take u...!!go prepared..n ull be out fine....!!

I know its natural to feel a little bit apprehensive, with everyone using the word 'vague' to explain his or her experience....but still try not to be panicked...just dont let the exam take u by surprise. Only thing u can do about it is practice as many questions as possible, in timed mode....!!

i did u world once...then for IM i revised only wrong questions, where as for all other subjects, i quickly revised all...!!
yes getting 80 in revision is a gud sign...this means that u have retained the knowledge u acquired initially....though it could be falsely high...because sometimes u also know the answer, just because u have read it before, n not because u know the concept. so dont get 2 excited with ur high scores in 2nd rev....
More imp is ur average after 1st time...!!
