GIT Hypergastrinemia in Hyperthyroidism and Renal Failure!

I just studied that Hyperthyroidism and renal failure are few conditions in which there are increased gastrin levels.

Any explanation for that?

Grave's disease is an autoimmune disease that can be associated with other autoimmune diseases such as atrophic gastritis.

Atrophic gastritis is associated with high Gastrin levels.

I don't know about renal disease.

what i know is gastrin is removed from the blood partly by renal metabolism. so thats why hypergastrimemia is often seen in patients with chronic renal failure.

Well the role of gastrin in colon cancer is some how complicated i read once through uptodate that it has something to do with colon cancer expressing gastrin releasing peptide receptor which will stimulate the effect of gastrin releasing peptide(GRP). you can check the physiology of it through uptodate well explained there.
