Question Child with lethargy

3 yr old, had some cold, mother gave aspirin, then cold continued, then vomiting, then strange behavior, then lethargy, then brought to hospital.
Examination: depressed consciousness and skin petechiae
Labs: shooting ALT, AST, high ammonia, LP negative, low glucose, normal electrolytes.

What's the Dx?
  • A - Reye syndrome
  • B - Meningococcemia
  • C - Brian tumor
  • D - Hypoglycemia
  • E - Viral meningitis
