Medicolegal and Ethics Durable power of attorney superior to living will?

60 y/o male with cerebral infarct is now unresponsive, develops respiratory difficulties and will require a respirator to maintain his breathing. There's little hope that he will regain consciousness and be able to communicate. A living will, dated one year ago, states he doesn't want to be kept alive by a respirator. his daughter produces a document naming her as a health power of attorney. she wants her father to be put on the respirator.
So, what do you follow? The living will or the health power of attorney (daughter)?

thank you!
