Arrow Just passed the CK; Take the steps close together

211/78, not very good but I had brain fatigue and decided to go ahead and do the exam. Regretted later as the possibility of failing was always in my mind due to low NBME score previously. So I was relieved in the end when I saw that at least I passed.
NBME 4 400/207; UWSA 470/214.
ADVICE: try to do CK and step 1 close together as your mind is in timed mode training and the exam format is similar.
believe NBME and try to add 20 marks +/- to make sure you pass. I risked getting a 187 but THANKS TO JESUS THE CHRIST I passed.
All the best

One more thing, if you can try to do all three close together it will help retention of the material. Also establishing a routine in your studies is good. I had a good routine in step 1 and got 98 but i did not had a routine in CK and I got way less.

Default worried about ck score

Hello everyone,

I am an IMG from India. And am new to this forum. I recently came across this after i have already taken my step 2 ck. I have got my score this wednesday and my score is 209!!!!!!!

Thats like the low range and I am not sure if I should just drop the USMLE plans.

I have not taken step 1 yet but I feel now there is no point in taking step 1 as my score is very low. Is there any hope at all to get internal medicine or family medicine? Also I want to be on the safer side. If i have to risk it and try to take a chance and spend another 2 3 yrs with very little chance of getting into a residency then i would like to drop the plan.

But if there is a hope then i would like to continue. Kindly help me as I am confused regarding what next to do.

Thank you but what would be a good score on step 1 considering my present step 2 score?

Aim for 99, Do your best & let God do the rest.
It will be hard but not impossible. I look at it this way, unless you try your chances of getting 99 are Zero but if you try your chances are 50% at least.
Remember, the great thing about your Step 2 is that you passed first attempt and your score is above 200, which means that your application will be considered as compared to someone who scored less than 200 or failed first attempt.
