Default Starting CK prep, need some advice please!

With step 1 results under my belt and having sat CS last Friday, I am ready to start preparing for step 2 CK.
Need your feedback guys!

I went over experience of people who scored well in this forum and others and came up with this plan. My study time is 2 to 3 months.

Must Read
Diagnostic test: Kaplan Diagnostic
Comprehensive book: MTB 2 CK (main study text)
Question bank: UWorld + NBME CS Mastery Series
Self-assessment: UWSA + NBME CCSSA (3,4,6,7) + USMLE practice material

Should read
Comprehensive: USMLE step 2 secrets
Pathophysiology: Goljan Audio
Surgery: Pestana's Surgery Notes
High yield: Conrad Fischer Comprehensive Cases

Nice to read (only if weak in a topic after above)
Medicine: Step-Up to Medicine or Kaplan internal medicine
Other topics: MTB 3
Other topics: Kaplan lecture notes
Ethics: MTB Medical Ethics 100 cases

My main questions for you:
- do you think relying on MTB2 and not studying Kaplan notes is crazy?
- do you think the plan is reasonable?
- any major shortcoming you notice in the plan?
- overall, I really welcome / need your thoughts and comments.

I want to thank everyone on this forum for their support and feedback. I believe this is a tremendous community of professionals helping one another.

Thumbs Up Hi

A lot of people go just UW-Qbank and one of: MTB2 ck or FA 2CK.
They report high scores.
What you try to do is overkill but if you can good luck!
PS NBME are a must...

Thank you Stasencu for the feedback, much appreciated!
by NBME do you mean the self-assessment forms? or subject wise clinical mastery tests?
What part do you think is overkill (unnecessary)?
Just to be clear I will do "Must read" and time permitting my "Should read" part.
The "nice to read" resources are just in case I have extra time and I am weak on a topic (i.e. scoring low in NBME and UW).

Uworld and MTB are a must. You can supplement yourself with first aid and/or kaplan notes. Personally i thought kaplan notes were more beneficial (you don't have to memorize everything in them, just read them once and make sure you have the concepts down).

Do the clinical mastery series as mentioned above and the nbme exams of course. BTW not all people say that NBMEs are predictive as they were for step 1. Make sure you understand all the questions you think you got wrong in addition to the ones you definitely got wrong. Essentially some of these concepts will be repeated on the exam.

CK is a different test from Step 1. The questions are longer and require focusing more on concepts than on pure memory.

Good luck.
