Default At a loss... Keep failing NBMEs

I finished all of uworld and got a 56% for my first pass

Took NBME 3 - 270 - 189 failed

Started reading MTB2

Took UWSA a week later - 228

kept reading MTB2

Took NBME 4 a week later - 350 - 206 failed

reset UW redoing UW maintaining 79%

Took NBME 7 a week later - 290 - 193 failed

Kept redoing UW

Took NBME 6 a week later - 280- 191 failed

I am so stunned and I really don't know what to do anymore. I am not making progress at all. I feel like I know so much more than when I started, but for some reason I'm failing these NBMEs.

I didn't have this much of a hard time in Step 1 and managed a 235.

I have my exam in 5 days. Please advise. Thanks

Just wondering if you can postpone your exam?

i could, but this is my last week on break. Next week I start an audition rotation, so I wouldn't have much time to study.

I may need to bite the bullet though.

I'm having a really hard time with the nbme questions vs uworld. I need to get a better feel for the nbme q's.

Btw, could anyone send me a link for the nbme 6 answers? thank you.

I would suggest postponing it for 3 weeks! Doing a comprehensive review of all of the material with an integrated approach. This will make your preparation more effective towards the end of the prep.

If your interested in a tutoring program, please feel free to reach out. I can offer you a structured review of the entire first aid with the clinically relevant integration you need to excel in this exam.

Goodluck!!

Don't go for any tutoring...just trust yourself and review your materials once again before you go for the exam

Yeah, I'm not sure if I trust that person's advice when they're trying to sell tutoring sessions.

Anyhow, yeah I think i'm going to review everything from now until then, and take the free 150 q's to get my confidence up before the exam. From what I've been reading UWSA is the most accurate, so I just have to stay positive.

Just took the Fred V2 Free 150 and got an 81.5% on it.

I'm feeling slightly better than yesterday.

I know I learned some things this past month of torturous studying, just have to pull through on the exam!

DO NOT POSTPONE!!!
I am in the same boat as you. Trust me, you are ready for the exam. There are people who do significantly well on NBMEs, and there are those who don't....it does not necessarily mean you will fail because you are failing NBME. at this point i feel you should be able to get >225 on your step 2ck. Ur uwsa & free 130q will speak louder than your NBME, go with confidence and take your exam then thank me latter. NBMEs were often more predictive for Step1, and UWSA for step 2.

Thanks for the morale booster. Yeah, I have to brush the NBME performances off, know that I did learn a lot these past month and go in there confident.

Thanks for the support!

I got my CK results yesterday and I received a 230!!
It's not the best score ever, but I'm so happy I didn't fail! Those NBME's are totally not accurate at all. It made this past month hell for me lol. The UWSA was really accurate for me. So to other test takers, don't get discouraged with poor NBME scores!! But save the UWSA for when you want a diagnostic! Good luck!!!
