Smile Beginning Step 2 CK Prep

Hey Guys,

Some of you might be familiar with me from the Step 1 forum.. I'm going to be starting my CK prep asap as to meet the deadlines for Sept.

Just needed a little bit of advice:

1. Got rotations going on so I can't spend more then 2 - 3 hours a day for prep, and need to take the exam by summer latest, is it doable?

2. Books, books, books? Kaplan? Step Up? Master the Boards? Blueprints? Confused! I know I'll do Kaplan CK Notes (no videos), but anything else?

3. I feel completely blank right now, as in don't remember anything from Step 1 so I'll be reviewing FA for that, hopefully its enough?

4. How much time do STUDENTS need? I know grads spend like 3-6 months and 8 hours a day studying, but we don't have that luxury.

5. What's a good timeline to be working with? I need to take both CK + CS before September!

Thanks!

I don't think you need FA, KLN is enough.

Start reading them and then begin doing questions early in the prep and you'll see yourself how you doing and then you can adjust your reading accordingly (going deeper is needed or going fast is OK).

So only KLN?

I was thinking FA just to review some of the stuff from Step 1..

Default hey PatelMD

How are you?
You might remember me also from the step 1 forum.
Good luck in your preparation; I won't be starting my prep myself until after April, since I'm also full time in postgrad. So I have been asking around for the books for step 2, and so far I've got advice to get KLN, and MTB 2CK (it's supposed to be a good one; already bought it) plus Qbanks and that's it..
See u around the forum.
