Question Need Help Interpreting score-270(88)!

Hey Guys,

I got my step 2 ck score recently, I am very happy with a 270! I just dont understand the new double digit score..I checked my step 1 score report-I had gotten a 239 (99) I took that exam in May last year. The score report in both instances says-the mean and standard deviations of first time examinees from US and Canadian Medical Schools is 233 and 22 respectively.
-Why has the percentile changed if the mean and sd are the same?
-Do they not consider us IMGs while plotting their distribution?

Please help! Thank You!
