Exam-Results Step 2 CK Score 267/87

Dear Friends,

I've just got my score report for CK it is 267/87, Actually I was shocked at first because I didn't understand what the hell is 87 mean!!!! it does not make any sense to me.... I searched the web and found similar posts, I understood that there was a change between the 2 and 3 digits score after October 1 2011, can any explain in details how it is calculated and is my score is good or bad.
this is really confusing, please help me if anyone has any information
Best regards.

you have great scores!!!!!! congrats....

change has been only in 2 digit score in a process to eliminate it in system eventually.

from oct 2011 on only 3 digits score will be provided to program directors . so don't look @ 2 digit.

can you share your step 2 ck experience and any tips. i will be starting my preparation.

Default Correction 264/87

Dear Friend,

Sorry for the inconvenience as my score appeared to be 264 instead of 267.
Thank you for your replies and i will be glad to share my CK experience with you.

I began studying on August 1st 2011, and took the exam on Jan. 25 2012.
I had a subscription with Kaplan for video lectures for 3 months in which i did all the lecture notes within the same period, i read and watch in the same time.

On April 1st, I took Kaplan Qbank for one month, but I barely finished the questions, I recommend more than one month because Kaplan Qbank is really challenging and the stems were really long. Anyway I finished it with 64% score.

After that, I took USMLE world for 2 months, I would recommend only one month for this especially if you took Kaplan Qbank before it. as their questions were much easier and shorter stems than Kaplan, that i easily scored 75% at the end.
USMLE world self assessment was 267.
NBME form 4, 2 weeks before the exam was 239.
USMLE score was 264 so usmleworld self assessment was more predictable of my real score.

I hope this was helpful, wish you good luck with your preps and exams.

Best regards,

Well, by doing step1 first u will get at least 60% of step2 and that what make step2 much easier than step1 in my opinion. Now, by doing step2 first you will get nothing regarding step1. At the end it is up to you. Good luck
