Thumbs Up

No , chances are not over.... Try to pass CS on first attempt and get Clinical experience in US... Then take Step3 and score good in it... Then apply widely to Internal medicine community programs and FM(For safety)...
So don't over-think about your score and move on... Think about making your application stronger...
Good luck...

THANX alot Drnrpatel! i am confused about this 2 digit score. why they mention it if it is not supposed to be shown to PDs during match. how would be my scores reported to PDs ...like 224/209....?

@drnrpatel....what do you think should i do to increase the # of interviews i get? research or observerships/externships? i am aiming at IM/Paeds community programs. i personally think observerships/externships would be better than research. what do you say?

Do you need a visa?
You have a shot, focus on step 3, ESP because your ck score is lower than your step 1. Most ppl usually do better.

@lena! yes i need J1/H1. actually i appeared in CK without adequate prep. i just studied for a month really. i know that was silly on my part but somehow i committed this crime. anyways really i am quite confident that i can score above 225 in step3. with these scores + CS 1st attempt pass + 4 US LORs+ step3 done in september this year do i stand a chance in IM/Paeds? i would apply widely to community programs coz i know these arent the scores for university programs. what do you think? you know i am quite shocked these days thats why i keep on repeating such questions. please rep!

When you say "IM/Peds", do you mean that you would take IM or Peds, or do you mean that you are trying for a combined residency (of which there are few, and they are competitive)? Have you thought of Family Medicine, or are you hoping to specialize?
