Default Ck fail

Hi all, I got my ck score report 10 days back and I have failed.
I got a 198 which is totally unexpected. My step 1 score is 202 and I hoped to better it with step 2 ck. I intend to join a Pediatrics residency. I want to re give ck and apply for next year's Match.

What are my chances? What else should I do to better my chances for next year?

Default test

Dont worry about it. You can still match. For now the question is, what are you going to do to improve your CK? When will you take CK again? Lets focus on now, cant control later or future. Lets take a step at a time.

Default time table

My friend. You are 11 points away from passing. You have a lot of material still fresh in your head. I understand about family. You can do this! I'm telling you take a break now for 2-3 weeks. Take care of normal life things. Then start, focus on your week areas based on score report, then review the rest. Have a schedule, try to take earlier if you can. As your friend I would push you to try to take while the material is fresh, otherwise you are just hemorrhaging information by dragging months and months. Private message me, I'm in the same boat. Lets get this test over with and then enjoy xmas and new yrs with family with a clear mind.

Best thing is to take it up again strong. Change things up. Try different resources (books) do incorrect questions from UW. Try mastery series on nbme take nbme every couple of times you finish your review. You are so close from passing and don't worry about residency right now. One step at a time. You will get residency if you do well on these exams. Keep your head up.

Default hey man

hey erysipelas, im more or less in similar situation,198 on step 1(pass),and a 207 on step 2(fail).
It took me a while to process, took a week off and have just started to make a plan for myself to (as mentioned above) finish the exam by Christmas.

I am planning to take the DIT 2015 course(still trying to find reviews and stuff on it) and add uworld to it.This time though i want to take better notes from uworld as i feel like a lot of the ground work for this exam has been done already so this time around it will be more of ironing out concepts and memorization.

anyway just thought ill share my (similar) story as well, also i solved the clinical mastery series last time,pm me your email ill send you a link.good luck
