A critically ill adult male is admitted to the ICU because of sepsis. He has no history of Diabetes mellitus, but his glucose level on admission is 12 mmol/L and insulin therapy is ordered.
Which one of the following is the most appropriate target glucose range for this patient?
A. 4.4-6.7
B. 5.6-7.8
C. 6.7-8.9
D. 7.7-10
E.8.9-11.1

coz you have to maintain glucose withing normal limit in ICU pts . so ill go with D. as far as i remember these units the normal limit is 10.5

7.7 means 140! And 10 means 180!

180 random glucose is ok : ... so its normal

fasting levels are 110 ... but as far as i remember these different units something stick in my head that is around 10.5 .... : btw whats the accurate answer?
