Question What LDL level?

If you notice the tables in UW q's #3822 and #4928..they say two different things under the column "when to start/consider Drug Therapy" for CAD or CAD equivalent risk patients.
Q 3822 says ....when LDL reaches 130 or >
Q 4928 says ....when LDL reaches 100 or >

So the real Q is.. at what LDL level in a High Risk pt (CAD/CAD equivalent) would you start them on a Statin drug?

I hope someone can help in answering this because having 2 different numbers can leave one in confusion. Thanks.

see, i rem it like this.

ideal LDL should be less than 70 in CAD+DM, 100 in CAD, 130 in > 2 risks, 160 in < 2 risks.
if levels are not ideal, then start diet and exercise.

start statins when levels are more than 30 the ideal values, so for CAD + DM start statins at 100, for CAD at 130 and 160 for > 2 risks and 190 for < 2 risks.

i hope i am correct.
