Default I passed Step 2 Ck with a 235!!!

I am posting this message to encourage all medical students, who are searching aimlessly through the internet for hope regarding passing the Step 2Ck. Whether you are preparing for it or are waiting for results, I understand wholeheartedly the tremendous amount of stress and uncertainty that comes with this exam. I studied very hard, yet I was still very uncertain about my performance throughout the entire process. Though the exam is challenging it is certainly doable!! I was so surprised when I received my score, as I was just hoping to pass and by the Lord's grace I scored well beyond what I prayed for. During my study period I used Uworld,MTB, NBME exams, and the Uworld assessment. Prayer is everything, because my actual score was higher than all of my NBME and Uworld assessment exams. The night before the exam I was of course anxious, however I managed to get at least 4 hours of sleep (I think). After finishing the exam, I was so excited at first then doubt and fear began to creep in. I continued to pray, go to church, read my bible over the course of the 3 weeks. I distracted myself with other things like hanging with family, friends, and most importantly I did not surround myself with other medical students that also were waiting for results. I am not a super high scoring student, I am simply an average medical student that was determined to pass this exam! I encourage future step 2 ck takers to set a study schedule that works for you, and constantly evaluate your strengths and weaknesses as you go along (This is key)! I pray blessings upon everyone who reads this message. GOD is able!

Thank you so much for such positive post - congratulations from bottom of my heart !!!

Can you please share a little more information about your self-assessment scores and UW Q-bank 1st or 2nd passing scores - have you ever tried Kaplan Q-bank, any idea about NBME clinical mastery series ? Thanks much, I truly appreciate your answers

Sure I found the Uworld Qbank and Kaplan lectures along with MTB text book to be the most helpful. In my opinion, repetition is key along with adequately using the self assessments to improve weak areas. I gave myself ample time to identify weak areas and work on them during my study period. I hope this helps

World Qbank 70% range (first time) 85% range (second time)
NBME 4: 225
NBME 6: 233
UWSA: 221

I briefly used the Kaplan qbank, but stopped using it after about a week. The content just did not compare to uworld in my opinion. I did not use the mastery series.

Got it! Thanks much for your advice! The best of luck in your next steps!
As I understood there is only one UW CK self-assessment? Used to be two?

Nice story and score result Itrust! Thanks for sharing it to us

Few questions that would be helpful to know :

a) How long was your study schedule? e.g. weeks, months?

b) How long after Step 1 did you take Step 2ck?

c) And how did you fit your daily reading of lecture notes + MTB (2 or 3?) + Uworld?

d) Did you watch any of the kaplan videos also?

Hey, "I trust"

Just took UWSA $35 value - 4 blocks, got 230 - in percentages 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th blocks - 68%, 61%, 75%, 73% - correspondingly, I didn't feel it is CK exam - it was like USMLE Step 1 - super simple stupid mistakes I would get better higher score if I would go through Step 1 FA instead MTB 2

How does the real CK looks like - on self-assessment, there were 5-6 line questions. Most seems straight forward?

Thanks much for your time, I really appreciate your thoughts.

Cool Sceptic hoping for a miracle

Thanks ITrust

Firstly, congrats on your score.
I have strangely got very similar scores on my NBMEs
Can you tell me how many days before the exam did you take them?

Expecting my result in 1 week, am also praying because I cant think of anything else to do.

Thanks again, your post is by far the most encouraging thing Ive read.
