Default Self Assessments once all is done...???

Hello everyone!

I wanted to ask for your input on this...

So I have exhausted all of my assessment resources...did all NBME exams with an average of about a 220, did the UWSA with a score of 210...finished uworld qbank 3 times averaging a 72%

I have taken Kaplan, Read my Kaplan notes, did tiki taka notes, read MTB 2 & 3, did the conrad cases, did the kaplan high yield videos (which was basically MTB2)...did the step 2ck algorithm videos, even listen to the step 2ck Goljian audio lectures, read USMLE 2CK Secrets, and even some Bolin videos on you tube which where awesome

Does anyone have a clue what else I can use as an assessment or predictor? Ive had to take my step 1 twice and I fortunately passed 2cs as well...I really can't afford to just wing it on this step 2ck exam since all my predictive scores are so close to the 209 minimum passing score (man I wish it was 2008 lol).

I saw that NBME has a Clinical Science Mastery series, but thats about it...

right now, I'm doing my 2nd read through of MTB3 and Tiki Taka notes which have been golden! and I keep doing 2x44 question blocks of UWORLD (timed tutor/mixed)

Thanks guys and happy new year!

Just finished the free 141 questions that the USMLE gives you and scored an 85%...in all honesty it was kind of too simple but a great tool to recall the most common subjects tested. I guess keep on taking UWORLD huh

Hi. If you are not a troll, my advice would be to re-read ALL Uworld explanations very carefully and memorize them. If you did it 3 times and score 72%, it means you still have room for improvement here.
Then analyse your Qbank results and nbmes, and check the fields where you need to review more concepts/ your weak areas...
Since you had weakness in step 1, you can also check FA for step 1 for the points you feel you need to, to better understand a concept in step 2ck. Depending of when is your exam. Did you checked Uptodate or Medscape also for whatever question you feel you are not sure 100% of the guidelines, standard of care?
Finally for you self-assessment questions: after you review very carefully Uworld, MTB2/3, and maybe some FA for step1..., you can do some of the clinical mastery series maybe, trying to have high score there. It's not really done to be predictive, but I guess if you have > 80% it's already good sign.. or you can redo one or 2 nbmes, like the 4, or one you didn't checked the answers extensively...Since you already did them, you should have a very high target. But keep that for when you feel comfortable that you will score much higher than previously, don't waste your money.
good luck.

Hey, Thanks! really good advise there! I have been reviewing my UWORLD explanations meticulously, as well as MTB 2/3. I didn't think of opening up my FA for step 1, but it makes sense...will do that! my test is in 2 weeks...I feel confident on the material, just have to work on my testing stamina and hesitation on picking an answer confidently...but, thats probably common ground for all test takers!
thanks again

Yeah, stamina and confidence are a big deal in this exam. If you are 2 weeks off from the exam, definitely stick to the materials you already worked on, maybe empathizing on the decisional trees and stuff like that.... Uworld and MTB 2/3 are solid ressources.
If postponing is an option, depending on your target score, you may also consider it, just to get a little more margin. You got step2cs at first attempt, so it's in your favor. congrats!
Good luck.

well, redid my NBME 4 (which I originally did back in june)...went up from a 196 to a 219 so thats not bad...i honestly didn't remember any of the questions.
I re-read all the subjects I needed improving on in MTB 3 and TIKI TAKA notes and I have been doing 2 UW 44 question exams daily and reviewing my UW notes.
My exam is on thursday of this week and its sunday today, so time to kick it up!
