Default difference between scores in step 1 and ck ?

please see the attached photo

in step 1 nbme it is stated that 292 is the maximum score

exam in step 1 is 7 blocks but 8 blocks in ck

my question is :
is 292 the maximum score for ck too ? or it is more for ck due to more questions and blocks ?

is there a difference in number and percentage of correct questions needed to get the same score in 1 and ck ?

if someone gets 230 in step 1 and 230 in ck , does it mean this person got approximately the same percentage of correct questions in both exams ?

or ck score is always higher because exam has more questions ?

Default hey

You are always being compared to the mean. The average score for step 2 ck is a 240 with SD of 16 or 18 among US medical students. So if the average US student is getting 40% of the questions correct or 90% know one knows. Use the nbme's and UW assessment exam as your guide to know if you are getting a score you'd be happy with.
