Default 6 months for CK!!

I am planning to give 6 months for step 2 CK. Is that usually enough for average people to ace the exam. What do you think?

P.S: didn't do CS yet. Fresh graduate with recent exposure to all CK material

Six months is a very long time... definitely enough to get a high score. However, time is only one factor. And even putting in a lot of effort won't guarantee that you do well unless you study the right material.

You will hear a lot of things from a lot of people - so I'll just give my two cents. USMLE World is the only major QBank worth completing. I've studied almost all of them and in hindsight, if I didn't I would have enjoyed my time more without losing points on the exam. What I wouldn't recommend is doing UWorld more than twice. At that point you are just over-familiarizing yourself with the content provided.

Aside from the qbank, try to find quality material to study. Reference textbooks won't help you here, but neither will quick fix review books. Personally, I liked the case files books and the youtube videos by Paul Bolin.

In addition to studying, maintaining a healthy lifestyle helps too. Try not to get to stressed about the exam, but rather try to enjoy the preparation process. One day you might look back at that period of time and smile.

More than enough time. I did 6 months studying only 3/4 days (mostly 3) a week.

Did Kaplan vids and LN and 1 mo Uworld at the very end. Felt confident, good strong basic principles.

Didnt do as expected on the exam (234) because i got many "most common pathogen" "what is the physiologic mechanism" which i thought were step 1 questions.

Planning on taking 2 CS on march, philly

Good luck!
