Hey sharayah,

generally your goal shouldn't be to go through UWorld faster, as this is THE best and most important resource for step 2 CK. Take your time to fully understand the questions and answers. Don't rush through this qbank!

If you want to answer the questions more quickly, I'd recommend to take a look at your weak area by taking a NBME test. Then you can focus where to study more.

Hey sharayah,

the question is if you want to risk to get a lower score due to rushing through the qbank is worth it to apply on time for the upcoming match. Think about it closely and look at your current CV:

Is my step 1 score competitive?
Is my YOG a red flag?
Do I have significant research behind me?
Do I have enough USCE?

An excellent score on Step 2 CK could improve your CV significantly. But in the end it's more important what you think is right in your current situation.

The best resource for step 2ck is UWORLD...the only trick here (not really a trick) is to read ALL of it...explanations to the right and the wrong answers, all the graphs and charts...EVERYTHING!!!...If when you are doing UWORLD, you happen to come across a question that has a subject in which you feel its not your strongest...then do the upmost you can to learn it inside and out (no only on UWORLD, but in every other resource that you can find that will help you learn and understand it)...learn all the ways they can ask you that question based on the wrong answer choices...trust me, it WILL show up on your exam!!!

MTB 3 (not 2) and Kaplan are fine for just a one time read through! don't waste your time with anything else

all you have as the best prediction tool is UWSA...not the NBME's so only do it when you feel you can teach each and every question to someone without hesitation.dot get me wrong, the NBME's are good...and you WILL do all of them!!!

nothing short of a 240 on UWSA is acceptable to tho go into that exam (its for your own good).

all you have to do is take the time and really read the questions and explanations...thats really it...obviously, get a good rhythm going on...practice time management. only do blocks of 44 unused questions mixed and timed.

while your taking the test, mark the questions that are taking you some time to figure out...weather your right or wrong...because you might have gotten it right on accident or for the wrong reasons!!! when you complete the bank, do all the incorrect questions over, and when you finish your incorrects, do only marked questions...and as you review your marked questions...uncheck them so that you know that you have done it all...YES people, this is how you use the bank...

also remember to see what % of people chose...sometimes a question is 50/50...sometimes its 25/25/25/25...between answer choices...take extra care learning these...because the question is clearly something that can easily be mixed up on the exam...and rest assure it WILL be on your exam!

what you score is irrelevant, what your percentage is is irrelevant...what is relevant is whether you got the question right and for the correct reasons and why the other options were incorrect for the exact same reasons...once you master this...then do UWSA...if you score over a 240...take the exam, knowing that anything over a passing score is great and rewarding!

if you want more...learn it more, thats all I can tell you. doing it this way has increased my confidence and I feel as if Im almost reaching that 240 goal on uwsa.

Remember...if this sounds too harsh, too straight forward...im sorry, but thats just the way this exam is at the present. and all of which I have told you is honest to God, the only way to truly feel like you will be ready.

oh yeah...to answer your questions on tiki taka...they are great, I've read all of them and they are awesome...but...they are someones organized UWORLD notes...and a very fine job they did indeed.
I would spend more time making your own notes focused on what you truly want to learn and keep fresh and constantly review that instead
