Wink Step 2 CK Prep - Keep it Simple

USMLE Step 2 score(18th April, 2012): 249/84 (Step 1 score: 239/99)

USMLE World score: 74% (1st time), 91% (2nd time)

Free 150: 84%

NBME 4: 246, 10 days before the exam
NBME 2: 246, 1 month before the exam

Time taken to prepare: 5 Months

Material: Kaplan Lecture Notes + all videos (once), MTB-CK (>3 times, leave out gyne)
I read Kaplan and MTB side by side and used to add extra points of Kaplan in MTB or marked extra topics in Kaplan. From then i just revised and re-revised MTB and the topics marked in kaplan. Leave out gyne from MTB and do only from Kaplan.
Along with that did Uworld twice.

What i realized is that keep your prep materials to a minimum but give multiple readings to them before exam. I kept MTB as my textbook. It is not complete but complete it by adding/marking Kaplan topics during ur 1st read.
And do only USMLE World Qbank twice/>2 times as time permits.

I would recommend using uworld as sole qbank. do it 3 times if you have time for kaplan qbank. Repetitions are v v helpful.

last month i repeated uworld 2nd time and revised mtb, did nbme. Thats it !!
