Listening Biostatistics Prep for the CK

I don't know exactly how concentrated Biostatistics will be in CK, but because it is not my favorite subject..would you say that Kaplan together with UW is sufficient? I am planning to do it in the next couple of days and was wondering if anyone had any advice to offer.
Thanks.

Kaplan & UW questions are not sufficient.
The key for doing good on Biostats is to practice and practice. What I found out is that even if you know the topic the amount of time it takes to arrive at the answer is too much under the exam scenario and that is not helpful at all since you are risking running out of time. My suggestion is to practice with UW Biostats which only costs $25. Other option is to read HY Biostats.
Once you get the hang of it you can virtually get 100% on Biostats which is unlike any other subject. There are on average 3 questions of Biostats every block so it is a great and sure way to boost your score.

Default Bio statistics for step 2CK

Guys, chill out. Biostat for step 2CK is not hard. Because you are under time constraint, and you do not practice stat calculations as much- it causes problems.
Here are few suggestions that I think would help you:

1. Know the sensitivity/specificity calculation and practice. Be sure we will have at least 2 questions from SN/SP/PPV/NPV and their interpretation.

2. Know how to calculate Odds Ratio (OR) and Relative risk (RR). Expect at least 2 questions from these

3. Know what is a "p" value and what is statistically significant. You will have at least 1 questions on p value and its interpretation

4. Know the linear and non-linear associations on graph and interpretations

5. Calculations for Numbers Needed to Treat (NNT) and Absolute Risk Reduction (ARR): 1 question at least on this

My suggestion would be to solve all the problems given in Kaplan LN (biostatistics and epidemiology) at least twice and once the night before the exam. Try to understand the calculations and not memorize it. You should be fine.
