Unhappy Free 150 and NBME Scores Hurting my Confidence

hi everyone,

I just finished doing the NBME offline and Free 150 and am devastated by my scores.. i don't know if i'll score as good as i want to with these scores.. can anyone advise me..

Free 150 - 82%, 73%, 75% in the 3 blocks

nbme - averaging between 75 to 85% right answers

The offline correlations scare me because they would mean a low scores with these performances.. so scared as i have my exam soon..

can anyone please advise me how i should improve on these? :sorry::sorry:

I don't understand how you're assessing the averages you ended up with performance-wise. Are you following some kind of table or something that tells you those averages are not good enough? It appears to me like they are good, but yet I don't know what your goal score is. Wouldn't it be better just to do an assessment test online, that way you get a breakdown and an actual final assessment score...

Actually, I know I should have done NBME online for a better overall evaluation, but because of money issues (Not working, fresh grad), I decided to do it offline and these percentages are actually the number of right answers in each of the forms based on an online key here in one of these forums.. it looks quite reliable..

Anyways, an offline correlation for the NBME scores (again from the forums, don't know how accurate) predicts my score in 210s and 220s. I just want to score higher than that and I feel like I've worked so hard and it is really depressing when we take an assessment test and it comes out bad.. but I suppose this is offline and only an approximation so I don't know..

Is it possible that you can get an impression of what subject area you seem to be making most mistakes it...e.g. Psychiatry...and then try repeating it in whatever review book you have completed. Then perhaps do another NBME and reassess. Good luck.

While giving exam u might felt i should have done this system once more ...or since u have done offline so see the wrong q and see which system it corresponds and make a list and go through them if possible..u can locate some of the systems at least where u r weak ..so i think stress more those topics for next review.
