Default Medial mid pontine syndrome

Hello guys ,,
In uworld It's written contralateral hemiparesis of face , trunk and limbs and ataxia ..
What I don't get is that the facial weakness , Isn't supposed to be Unilateral ??
Any idea ??

hey did you mean ipsilateral or unilateral? c/l because facial nerve nucleus at pons, hence above it only becomes ipsilateral. nuclei and below it becomes c/l.
