Default A 208 on Step 1 followeb by a 214..(sigh)

Hey everyone!

I don't know if I write this to gain sympathy or simply to share my feelings. Well, long story cut short - I took about 4 months to prepare for the CK (4-5 hours daily on average). I only used MTB-2 and Uworld for the preparation. KLN was used for Surgery. I did Uworld twice with a cumulative average of 63%. I did UWSA a few days before the exam and scored 236. I was unable to take any NBME forms.

On the day of the exam, I was quite confident and I thought I had seriously done well ( a lot better than my first exam). Therefore, the score report has left me shocked.

LESSON LEARNED: Study very hard. Do Uworld twice. Do NBME forms to assess yourself. Do not rely on UWSA.

I don't know how much good a 208 and 214 could do to me. Let me know if you have any suggestions of any kind.(And above all, have NO visa yet)

Best of Luck people! Study hard...

Look at the bright side. You passed both steps in first attempt.
Scores are only part of the process and I agree that we all expect more/better score. However, you have to move on. You are better placed than some people I know. The problem is that people with lower score hardly ever post and reading these forums makes you feel that everyone is getting 240+ but the reality is entirely different.
Thank you for posting and Good luck.
