child can throw ball, write his name ... what is most apt age ?

A 25-year-old woman brings her 7-year-old son in for a well-child checkup. The woman's pregnancy was without complication, and the child was delivered at term by normal spontaneous vaginal delivery. The family has not been to see the pediatrician for 4 years. The child’s development had been normal and all developmental milestones had been appropriately met. The medical history is significant only for several upper-respiratory infections, which resolved without complication. During the interview the woman’s son is able to throw but not catch a ball after several attempts. Next, the child prints out his name in crayon on a sheet of paper. A triangle is then drawn on the paper and the child is asked to draw another one like it. Despite a determined effort, he is unable to do so. The pediatrician is concerned about a developmental delay. Though the child is 7 years old, his developmental level is most appropriate for what age?

A. 2 years
B. 3 years
C. 4 years
D. 5 years
E. 6 years

Good catch but catching the ball (by hands) is at 5 years. Catching (gathering) a large ball with arms is at 3 years.

He can write his name which is at 4 yrs
