MCV and Hb correlation

there is clue to diagnosing thalassemia is MCV is way way less than Hb .

for eg. patient Hb is 10 and MCV is 65, this is clue to thalassemia.

does anyone know what is normal correlation values of Hb and MCV

MCV & HB can't be used to diagnose Thalessemia...

Correlation of Hb to MCV:

1. MCV / 3 = Hb

3. Hb x 3 = MCV.

thats Hb Hct correlation

and i am not saying MCV and HB "diagnose" thalassemia.
