Fire Thread Hottestt Careers: Drug Safety and Clinical Research

Did you know that 12,000 applicants this year did not get matched for residency? What do those individuals do after not getting matched? Typically, medical students take whatever jobs they can get to stay afloat, and those “whatever” jobs pay “whatever” salaries. But, what if there was another option? What if they could leverage their medical degrees, make almost as much money as most physicians, AND work less. This is not a dream! This option actually exists!

There is no denying that becoming a physician is a rewarding and respectable career for one to have. However, just how rewarding and respectable are the long drawn out hours and stress that accompany the typical life of a doctor? Obviously, the hard work of being a physician pays off, and yes pays off quite handsomely. However, is that pay still appealing when there are careers out there where one can work a reputable 9-5 job, ditch the stress, and actually enjoy a family and social life?

After not getting matched, many students tend to tread into other various healthcare fields such as MH, MPH, OT, PT, and so on. Those fields pay peanuts compared to what they would have been making as physicians. Why did they even dream of becoming a doctor and making big bucks in the first place, to only end up settling for jobs where they’re making nowhere near their initial dream? Okay yeah, so they may not have been able to achieve their goal of becoming a doc, but that does not mean one should give up on their dreams of making money! Instead they should use their educational backgrounds and years of hard work towards a profession that leverages their medical experience and advances them in life!

Let’s get to the point and finally reveal what these dream careers are and how they can get one on the path of utilizing their educational backgrounds, all while paying them rewardingly for it! Many people seem to be completely unaware of the vastly growing fields of Pharmacovigilance (Drug Safety), and Clinical Research.
