GIT Diarrhea vs Food Poisoning

Guys! Even after thoroughly studying micro and infectious diseases I can't clearly differentiate between diarrhea and food poisoning in a case if there is presence of both vomiting and diarrhea.

Could u please explain the way to differentiate amongst these two a little easily!

Arrow Acute and high fever

Food poisoning is usually acute and associated with high fever and they usually give you a hint in the question like the patient has been in a camp, trip, party, Chinese restaurant ...etc.

After all, they are all bugs. Some of them cause acute illness and some of them cause a subacute illness. The only exception (not the bug itself) is the preformed toxin of Staphylococcus areus which causes the fastest food poisoning among all others.
