Drug Safe Analgesics!

which analgesic can be used in asthmatic except paracetamol???
also what is the most most most safest analgesic on patients have gastriris or ulcer??except paracetamol
is it cox2?/
if yes which group
if not which drug can be used?

you can use COX-2 inhibitors (ex: celecoxib) in pts with gastric ulcers.

@ salem,

Regarding the ulcer question, from a theoretical perspective the selective COX-2 inhibitors are fine but from a practical perspective (in terms of availability and cost in my locale), there are several NSAID combinations including: Arthrotec (Diclofenac + Misoprostol), Flotac (Diclofenac + cholestyramine).

Aside all the pharm rep crap talk, both combinations, especially the latter (from personal experience) are quite effective in terms of their inability to precipitate ulcer.

Regarding, ur asthma question: I just stick to PCM (paracetamol) though...

Would love to hear input from the other guys...
