Question 21 Hydroxylase Deficiency and DHEA levels?

Quote:
Increased LH by FSH ratio could be due to polycystic ovarian disease or congenital adrenal hyperplasia
( CAH), but the presence of elevated levels of 17 -hydroxyprogesterone makes the diagnosis of CAH more
likely. 21-hydroxylase deficiency is associated with normal DHEA levels.
is this correct? isnt 21 OHase def will lead to increased DHEA levels ?

It will, if you remember the chart the reaction will shift to the right, increasing DHEA synthesis and androgens
