Bailey and Love is over 1,500 pages! Not only I don't recommend it for surgery prep for the USMLE but I also don't recommend it for med school!

I think what he meant was that he has to read a textbook of surgery in medical school. (Practically everyone in India reads B&L for surgery as a textbook). So, will reading it help him towards his prep for USMLE if he uses Kaplan LN for review.

If you want to read any "text book" for surgery in final year, look no further than Schwartz.

Give both Bailey & Schwartz a read and you'll know what I am saying.

Good luck.
